Our journey so far…

Turning our dreams to help into a reality that can grow …

Dream it.

It all begins with a dream. We started with just the ‘Thread Shed’ a container where we could store essential items and distribute them twice a week on a Tuesday and Thursday evening.

Build it.

Then came ‘The Grub Hub’ a pop-up style cafe which fed the homeless and less fortunate in our local community. This provided an attraction for people who could then engage with our experienced support team to help them manage and deal with their issues.

Grow it.

Our dreams came true and we made it happen. 50Backpacks vision only exists today because of the dreams we had in the beginning. We continue to go from strength to strength and can now provide so many services to help the less fortunate in our local community.

What we achived in the last 2 months of 2019…

Reaching out to your local community

50 Backpacks VISION is a voluntary based, registered not for profit organisation that is able to provide practical front line help and support with many different issues. We work closely with local organisations and businesses to make sure that the people that need it, are getting the help that is available. We are able to feed, clothe and provide essential items to the homeless and less fortunate, serving upwards of 70 meals a day, every day of the year.

Our experienced support team can help with advice and signposting to external agencies to resolve any difficulties they may have before starting the re-homing process. We are also able to offer many different education courses to help develop new skills for employment and independent living.
